I don't see why you couldn't use a 51521. It's 1.25" inches shorter if you need the room. My oil filter is mounted vertically on the firewall(mid-engine Spyder) on the same JayCee mount as Stan.

@Stan Galat Why did you bypass to the engine case and not the tank? I bypassed to the top of the tank.
