I would tend to agree.  Vinyl (or “Naugahyde” if you’re a Hot Rodder) it usually less expensive than leather and with the typical stitching involved, just as durable.  Plus, it’s often easier to clean.

I had saddle leather in my F250 and it was STIFF!  Comfortable, but stiff.  The leather in my Nissan Rogue is quite a bit softer, but it tends to wear at rub points faster than the saddle leather.  Vinyl would wear, too, but it maintains the color through the material.

”Pearl’s” color is 1999 Audi Pearlescent White.  It tends to blush slightly pink and a shade of blue/gray depending on how the light hits it.  Under Mercury Vapor lights at night it really pops.
