Hi all, been a while since I've needed help ( a good thing in my mind). My fog lights are not working. What have you all found are some common causes? Bad switch/fuse? Wiring? Where should I start? Thanks in advance!

Come on guy, check the fuse!
As Jim says above, the fuse would be the first place I would look, especially if both are not working. One not working would most likely be a burned out bulb.
Hope you find the reason.
#1 Fuse - corroded/loose Ground - relay getting power? Short switch terminals out to eliminate switch.
1) fuse
2) ground
3) wires secure
Most fog lights take quite a bit of wattage. If you aren't using a relay, it could very well be a bad switch (especially if it is a cheap China-made one). The energy draw directly through the switch will melt the contacts in the switch.
Mine don't work either. Mounted them last Summer and still don't work. Haven't even hooked them up, don't even have a switch or relay yet. But, man do they look great, I just don't drive at night much.
I will check the fuse first, should have mentioned... still a newbie (sorry Jim Gilbert!) I'll figure these things out eventually. Starting with where the fuse is!
Aren't they WIFI fog lights?
HAHA! That would be nice
@Marc Orloff look up under the dash in front of your left knee. Lots of cars have the fuse panel there (don’t expect much - They’re pretty cheap). Once you find it let us know the amperage on it and we can help with whether it needs to be increased.
Thanks Gordon, will look the next couple days.
Could be under the trunk as well depends on the builder.
Thanks Roy, it is an IM build. I’m going to try and check it out tomorrow and see what I can find.

what year?
Trace the wire from your switch to the power source, since they are an add on , probably has an in line fuse .
Figured better to respond to this thread. It is a bad switch. Any idea of where to find a replacement for this? No markings or parts number on it. Other than CHINA.

Universal Switch, NAPA has a better quality then Auto Zone or Advance.
Take the old one with you and ask a NAPA counter person to match it. Those are used on a lot of different (older) vehicles.
