Jimbo; may I add this little bit of info. Jjr bought his Chinese repro gauges from JPS and also had a negative experience. Basically the tach wasn't working when he installed it. He called Steele who told him to send it back. He did and guess what? He accused Jjr of tinkering with the tach and it wasn't true; in fact when he first received it, Jjr had noticed what looked like some dried Krazy Glue oozing out of a small area in the tach housing. It seems that the particular tach had been "tweaked" or "reworked" by the folks at JPS and now they were accusing their customer of tinkering with it to try to get themselves out of the obligation to do right by him. Not good...not good....
I'm still in NOLA Jimbo!; and I love it here. Weather is so much more predictable than in PR so using the car for longer stretches without fear of getting rained on is more realistic. I just came back from PR last week; drove the car enough to burn about $5.50 worth of gas (so you can tell I didn't really get to drive it much the week I was there). I've been lurking around and posting occasionally; I'm not going anywhere (hopefully)...
