Hi, I am a lurker who is considering an IM.
I was at IM Aug 16 meeting with Henry about getting an IM at the end of the year. Was Jordan Christansen's IM being completed at that time? It looks familiar. Very sweet car.
There was also a very tasty carrera being completed. I may have to go with the carrera look.

Jordan,

Saw your factory pics on "the other site"... (97% IM coverage, 100% of the time, haha) Anyway, I just wanted to complement you on your choices... from a visual level, your Vert D is beautiful! What type of red is that? Great looking car Jordan. Why don't you post it under our member's files, and tell us about your options/engine, etc? Same invite goes to Clay... nice car Clay! George? Get yo' pictures up!

I traveled all the way from FL to see this car and I left my digital camera at the hotel when I went to IM.
I am sold on this vehicle. I wanted an interesting daily driver and I have found one. The carrera I saw is causing a dilemma. The carrera was so cool. The guy building this car is trying to make it very authentic. Role bar, vinyl floor vs carpet, switches in proper place, correct engine bay cover, power windows so no role up cranks visible. This guy is also doing car with 911 power and running gear. This was a very aggresive looking machine. Must be a very expensive car. I would do mine with a Raby T4 and conventional running gear. I also need the car to be practical so the roadster is really a better fit for me. What would people think of a "carrera roadster"?

Jordan,

A "special trailer hitch?" Say wha???? Am sure there is a good reason. Car reads terrific, but it also looks great in the photos you posted. Congrats. Welcome to cool world.

Phil,

Gulp... what color was the Carrera? Sounds like the owner is doing a GT version. I'm with you re a Baron von Raby T4. I will email Henry and see if he has some photos available.

This car was a vintage color. It was kind of a pale green. Don't know the exact name. I was thinking about doing mine in Aetna blue. If Henty could supply pictures I'm sure there would be many interested members who are looking for something a little more "sporty" than your average speedster. Apologies again for forgetting the digital camera.
Phil,

I will email Henry over the weekend. I am converting my older IM into a faux GT Carrera. Absolutely love the retro 50'racer look. If you haven't done so visit Johan's Carrera site. BTW, good luck with your Vintage Subaru-turbo Spyder. THAT is going to be one trick ride. Congrats.
Erik
Thanks
I'm going to LA to pick up the Spyder on Sept 28. I try to keep the suby thing a little low key on a teutonic type of sight like this. But yes it is going to be a screamer. But I am intrigued by this carrera IM for a daily driver. Spyder is strictly for craziness and track.
