1956 Porsche 356 engine for sale running

I pisked this up and was going to restore it but have too many projects already. So if you want to make your speedy look and sound more like the real thing, here is your chance.

$5000 or best offer. Will drop off with in a 100 miles radius to a club member.

Boy! You could really drive the know-it-alls in the PCA nuts at upcoming Porsche meets with that!

They think it has a plastic body but then look under the cover and it's a "Real Boy"!!

It took me a long time (sold it last year) to sell a nice '62 356 engine that was clean, all tin fresh powder coated, tuned and running, for $2500. I had it on the Registry for weeks and had no calls. I finally sold it locally to a friend of a friend, who is a Registry member, but he never looks at the Registry mag.....go figure My advertised price was $2800, so it sold for $2500 without carbs. These engines should be worth far more, just slow buyers around here. Now if you had a 550 Dove engine.......

Dropping the price to 4k and then I either tie a chain to it and put it on a boat, or restore it and put it in my next stock looking speedster.....

Mine sold to a guy in the UK few years back. All tin powder coated, completely rebuilt with many new parts, big bore kit, Accusump pre-oiler, etc, etc. $4,500 was best I could get for it even though had a lot more into it.
