I’ve been waiting patiently for a friend to buy it but that hasn’t happened so I’m listing it here to see what happens. As far as I know it was built in 2005 . I bought it with no motor and I’m sad shape. I had a nice 2 liter with straight cut gears, mild cam, dual Weber 40’s and a fear reduction starter put in. The motor has about 6000 kilometers on it , the car about 63k kilometers in total . I also had a 5 lug conversion, front discs, fake Fuchs, an under dash stereo, and just recently a new cloth top with side curtains put on. The car runs and drives great, lumps a little with the cam and has the gear whine( love it but some don’t). The only negative about the car is it has a crack up front in the  fiberglass behind the front bumper where the previous owner ran it into a concrete parking barrier in a parking lot. I have a new front bumper and the rear seat “ cushion”. With some minor body work and a paint job this car would be a solid7-8 in my opinion. It’s a dependable solid driver and I’m only selling it to get another car. Interior is good, nardi wheel, seat belts with Porsche crests, no cracks in the seats or dash. Tach glass is cracked but everything is working. Asking $17,750

SOLD

Ok I don't really know any of the engine specs, sorry. It was built by Greg Mcnair here in Salinas, local air cooled legend. He has built over 5000 engines to date, many for intermechanica cars back in the day. I'm between Salinas and Monterey off hwy 68 and the car is also listed in the Monterey craigslist with my phone number. I work all day so I don't have that much time to email back and forth about it but I've had a good amount of interest and I think the first person to come and look at it will buy it. It looks good, sounds good, runs good and is priced right.
