Yesterday I attended the 2019 Concours d'Elegance of America in Plymouth Michigan.

I saw some of the guys in straw hats, blue blazers, and khaki pants but they were finished judging.

Here are some of the interesting cars I saw:

Beauty from Intermeccanica.

The keys were in it and I was a bit tempted.

There are usually one or more of these Citroen Traction Avants at Carlisle but this one has been converted to coal

Beautiful cars Michael. Looks like a nice day.

I watched the series of episodes on Chasing Classic Cars that somewhat chronicled the building of the bespoke automobile for Wayne Carini. The guys at Moal Coachbuilders, that built his car, are absolute masters of their craft. Everything was measured and fitted especially for him with no attention to detail left untouched. Here he is taking delivery of the car:

Somehow, I expected to see Fred Munster sitting in the background.

Must get a little toasty sitting behind that huge boiler.

It looks like something from the Teens, but the headlights look like 1940's Ford Truck.   Very cool, indeed.

I had very similar NAPA marker lights to those he used as front directionals on my first Dune Buggy.

It would have been a real treat to see that steaming around the show.
