I watched Stirling Moss drive the very OSCA he won Sebring in 1954 (other driver Bill Lloyd) around Lime Rock. I was standing behind the RS-60 he also drove in 1960 or 61 when he was helped out of the OSCA. He looked over at me, I gave a nod, and he gave one back.

...And then he was mobbed by people talking at him and wanting autographs and pictures.

OSCAs are cool.

OK so to wind up this thread drift, here's story covering the history of the O.S.C.A.-Porsche rivalry in the early-mid 1950s (link to PDF). The Spyders and MT-4s were very evenly-matched, and it's amazing that more hasn't been made in the popular culture of those epic F and G-class battles (with Ken Miles keeping the faith in his MG-powered Shingle).

What's really interesting is how the MT-4 lags the 550 in the market, changing hands for maybe 1/6 a Spyder's price even though there are fewer of them.
