Lou, contact Carey Hines at Special Edition. He is considering selling his personal car that is a '57 look-alike from which he's removed the engine and a few other bits. It's already painted and has an interior, but you'll need to make it roadworthy again. Go to www.beckspeedster.com and click on "Customer cars" His is at the very bottom. It's blue with red "blades" coming off of the headlights.
Jon Vandecar's $7k unfinished CMC (below your request) is just up the road from you in NH - could probably flat tow it home to NY. We kid that it only takes 40 hrs (per sales literature) to complete a CMC - hard work appears to have been done on Jon's. CMC has gel coat finish which is durable and can be brought back to life even if abused - that saves a substantial time/cost outlay. Finding one 1/2 way across country can add better than $1k shipping (hard to load car that doesn't run!).
