@David Stroud IM Roadster D

On the Stoddard site it says the Speedster Windshield, Made in Austria, 12 7/8" high at center, tinted.      Has correct Sigla logo concours quality.

For the Cabriolet

Austrian made Stoddard Exclusive. Clear Windshield, 14 1/2" high at center Has correct Sigla logo. Concours quality. Fits 1956 through 356BT5 Coupe, all Cabriolet 1956 on.

Lastly,    Convertible D & Roadster.  Windshield, is   13 7/8" high at center, tinted.

David...My wings n visors fit both too. If they hadn't I don't think Sierra Madre Collection would be selling them. Another thing I learned was Yes they will work on a real speedster but have to be slightly bent/persuaded to fit properly. Also a company in Europe sells an exact replacement thats made out of solid brass. Retail price for that one is as low as $3500.00 !...............Bruce

Think someone mentioned years ago that the windshield on the Envemo (not sure if applies to both cab and coupe?) was not Porsche stock size - and difficult to come by.

I watched episode of the original Top Gear where they had a US model winsheld with the correct curve cut down to correct size.  Now, that's even more stress that just fitting a Speedster whindshield. The Fiberfab Aztec7 kit car uses a Lamborghini Miura windshield - price that one out! as it may cost more than the car its-self.  Many kit cars use various year Corvette glass often turning it up side down or using the rear glass for the front windshield.

It hit 13 today first real day my driveway still has ice but the roads are so sandy it is not pleasant to drive in a loud of dust... might go out as well

We've got 16 degrees at 3pm. Just got back from a blustery ride down past Carley's Corners again to the Gan, then East on 2 with whitecaps and pretty big waves on the St. Lawrence overlooking the coastline towards New York State. One pic from Fort Wellington and one from the site of the Battle of the Windmill.

The car is running very well and I'm loving those new Vred tires. 277 km today.

Looking good, all shined up.. How do you like the Roadster compared to the speedster?

Thanks. Positives for the Roadster are the more substantial and higher top, higher windshield, more foot room, seats and the roll up windows.  The IRS and tube frame and the car being 10 years newer helps too. This Roadster is a much nicer car than my older IM pan based Speedster by far but there was more room in the back seat of the Speedster due to the smaller roof and I still think the Speedster has the edge on the cool factor. My Soob engine was sure nice too.

Having said that, I've got very little more dough invested in the Roadster than what I had in the Speedster considering what I sold the Speedster for, so this move was a total no brainer in the end.

Large thanks to the Merklinator for posting that the Roadster was for sale. I never would have seen it.

Yes, the envemo cabriolet is a different windshield and to itself. Measures like 16 at center if I remember correctly. Last I heard the ones for the cabriolet were difficult to find. There is a guy in Brazil that is tooling up again to offer a kit and has lots of the envemo  specific parts.  Honestly if I ever need one I think I would just do some fiberglass work to the cowl to make an original fit.

Sounds like a pretty accurate assessment and the new frame and roll up windows gives you the leg room and ease of getting out of the rain
