$50,000+? Are the buyers totally unaware of what they're buying? Or will some rich guy's wife just be reselling this surprise anniversary present with 2000 miles on it and an unsatisfied experience, much like her wedding night?

And Iisted as a replica or not, I'm surprised that Barrett Jackson would say "this Porsche has only test miles"

People get drunk in Scottsdale and buy on emotions. He or she can now sell it for$35,000 or so . Wow!  What a great buy!

People get drunk with the auction hype , emotion, live TV and impressing their wife or the girl they have hanging on their arm.  Back in 2004 when I was teaching Auto Shop we built a custom silver blue speedster we sold it to a private party then a year later  it went across BJ Auction for another $10 grand higher than I sold it for.

the koolaid is spiked for effect with ... add want you are familiar with ... ketamine

The White one that sold for $41,800 was built by Vintage in Arizona.  You can clearly see the extra snap in the attached photo.  There is no comparison between the excellent build quality of Greg's cars built in California and the cars built by the new owners of Vintage in Arizona.

If you look closely at the photo you can also see that the tonneau does not lay flat against the body.  There is a bulge in the fabric between the snaps.  The Arizona tonneau is only one layer of material, while Greg's and Kirk's cars used two layers.  Just one of the MANY issues I saw with the Arizona built cars.

Pity the buyer of that White car if the seller didn't already spend several thousand dollars to correct all the issues it is likely to have.  Pity them both for not doing a little homework and saving thousands of dollars by buying a Speedster directly from Greg in California. 20200122_093604
