Anyone interested in a set of 16" Fuchs?
There are two 6" x 16" and two 7" x 16".
They came off of a 1984 Porsche carrera. I've had them since new and they've been stored for at least 8 years.
They are black and Satin except for the Spokes. The Spokes are polished.
They are in perfect condition. No marks, no scrapes, no rashes, nada.

Look in Files/Members/GregBsVSpeedster to see photos with "Fuchs" in their name.

They come with NO center caps and No lugnuts. The tires in the photo will be removed (they are really cracked from storage), unless whoever buys them wants them.
Buyer pays all shipping, insurance and any boxing costs, and I need $500.00 for them.
I'm in PA, so figure shipping $$!

Greg, some of the replica Fuchs wheels are quite weak (they are cast, not forged) and have been known to break under very reasonable cornering side loads; there is a picture of a broken replica wheel in the "911 Performance Handbook". It might be a good idea to take them off and carefully check them once a year where the spokes join the rim.
His replicas are Eagle wheels and they make A LOT of mag wheels for VWs. I don't hear of problems with the other wheels, so why would there be a problem with the Porsche replicas (911 and 914)? Besides, I;d rather have a new replica wheel from a well know manufacturer, than a 20 year old Fuch wheel.

Holy cow guys! I just wanted to post some wheels for sale, not raise safety issues where there are none!
I've owned the fuchs since they were new! I put the Eagles on when they were new. Neither set has been stressed to the point of concern.
I've used Eagle wheels on at least 10 VW's with no problems. (Look in Hot WV's magazine, every other car in there has Eagle wheels on it) I've never heard of anyone having problems whith them.

I've never even heard of anyone having problems with the Brazilian chrome wheels that come on most Speedster replicas. They're the ones that rust in about a week. Yeah, those are safe!

Greg B.
Ron, first of all the replica wheels are not "mag" (magnesium) wheels but aluminum, and second they are cast, not forged. Personally I would much rather have a nice set of 30 year old FORGED aluminum Fuchs wheels than a set of new cast replicas.

Eagle, schmeagle, whatever - I was just pointing out that SOME cast Fuchs replica wheels are weak and BREAK (Surprise! Crash!). You are more than welcome to buy and run whatever wheels you like.

The chrome Mangels on my IM "D" are two years old and no rust in sight when it was sold last week.
