I'm thinking of starting my first Chesil Speedster build (I'm in the UK) and working on the principle that time spent on recon is never wasted, I wondered what other people wished they had known before they started their build. What are the pitfalls that no one tells you until it's too late?
I'm in the UK and the best way is to buy either a finished kit or an unfinished kit its the cheapest way.

You then let someone else do most of the work and save on SVA registration, paint and thousands of hours effort, thats why so many cars do not get finished.

You may then take a few hundred hrs to get it to your spec spread out over your ownership period

See www.speedsters.com ( UK site) for advice, check the forum, check the sales section, this is the time of year to find a bargain

Its well worth joining the UK site/ club ( I am a member)

Good luck
