I’m thinking BAT may not be the place for an original Speedster. Too many bargain hunters. The place to top dollar is the high end auctions. R&M, Southeby’s, etc.

I'm not sure I would agree. I haven't seen any "bargains" on BaT. Usually stuff gets bid up to astronomical amounts and then you have to add on the buyer's premium. An Emory Coupe sold on here for $500K which is probably $100K or more over what it was new.

I would agree with Robert. There aren’t many bargains to be had on BAT anymore, and yes, the 5% fee adds to the premium. That Emory outlaw was purchased by the owner of WeatherTech - he has quite the impressive bid history.

Yep. And when David MacNeil can pay $70 million before the buyer's premium for a 1963 Ferrari GTO, he can pay $500K for an Emory. And BTW, the car was for his 24yo daughter. It may not have started out that way but allegedly she "claimed" it as hers.

I would have to agree with @Robert M.  Case in point, this 1991 Cadillac.

Or the 1991 Ford Bronco that sold for $91,000 (due to its exceptionally low miles).
