Can any one point me to a source that can tell me how to determine the size of the AN fittings on my fuel system? The ID of the line is approximately 1/2" and a 19mm or 3/4" open end wrench fits loosly on the connectors.

I need to change the fuel filter set-up and can't seem to locate any source that will enable me to size my existing AN connectors so that I can match new ones to the existing system.

Incidentally, my connector and braided line are Earl's brand.

Thanks in advance.

Terry,

I use www.aircraftspruce.com/menus/ha/anfittings.html for my fittings. If you look at the type of fitting you are interested in and hit the VIEW OTHER DETAILS link under the picture it will tell you the tube/Hose ID it is made for.

If you need to know thread sizes for each of the AN sizes - here is the most common

AN Size:Hose ID:SAE Thread
-2:1/8":5/16-24
-3:3/16":3/8-24
-4:1/4":7/16-20
-5:5/16":1/2-20
-6:3/8":9/16-18
-8:1/2":3/4-16
