Anybody know of a good transaxle person in or near North Carolina

While on a drive the other evening, the car seemed to pop out of 4th gear.  I pulled over, scratched my head for a moment, shifted to 1st, and all seemed well.  Never had a VW pop of 4th before.  I started back down the road, gears 1-3 all good, shifted into 4th and nothing, was like I was in neutral.  I have a berg 5 speed, so I tried 5th and same thing...nothing. 

I talked with Anthony who built and installed the transaxle and he thinks the pinon shaft sheared in between 3rd and 4th gear.  While my plan as of right now is to send it him (he is fantastic), it would a lot easier an quicker if I could find someone near me with experience with 5 speeds. 

I pulled the engine and transaxle yesterday and trying to figure my next move.  Any advice is appreciated.
