Newbie here. Looking at Spyders recently. Saw this one on EBAY:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=290034695085&sspagename=ADME%3AL%3ARTQ%3AUS%3A1

Anyone know the car or able to make comment regarding condition versus price?

Thank in advance.

Regards,

Grant
I don't know the car but the following may be helpful - of course it's just opinion......
.
1. supertrapp may make the sound a bit easier on your neighbors' ears - a good thing, but not a difficult thing to have added on your own. Most spyders are ungodly loud - this one might not be....
.
2. low plexi windshield is a nice look - but less pleasant to drive at speed than the higher speedster windsheild
.
3. 5-bolt wheels are a nice addition (generally better favored than the 4 - bolt)
.
4. Nice cosmetics - (red 'darts', meatball number, banjo steering wheel, ivory knobs)
.
5. Smaller engine is generally not chosen for Spyders - 1600 cc may seem underpowered vs the 1.9 liter, 2.2, 2.3 versions - but will probably provide longer life.
.
generally looks like a nice car...

Beck 2002
Several things come to mind.

You might want to ask the seller how it is currently registered. Seems to be skirting the issue with "based on 1967 platform". This can be very problematical depending on the state in which you seek to register it.

Brakes claim to be "Porsche". Quite likely are drum brakes, rather than disc, all around. Upgraded versions have disc brakes at all corners.

Appears to be one of the older Beck models as the front hood is not hinged. Ask the seller what Beck production No. it is. 100 to 200 range are older models. 500+ numbers are newer models.
Driver's seat is speedster style and the passenger seat is a beck type seat (same as in our car).

I think this is a bit much $$ for a car with a 1600, mismatched seats and a hood that does not hinge. There is no expert pricing but in this range, and on this site, a watchful buyer can pick up a low miles well sorted car with a little heftier engine than a 1600 for 25K or less. 24-25 that the owner wants for this car is high.
