Perry sells unassembled kits and seperate interior and glass packages. While TR, Beck and other manufacturers sell various versions of assemblies, their cars are closer to exact replicas than Perry. The Perry kit is made to fit on a full VW pan with the engine mounted rear facing like VWs. The car is about 10 inches longer than the original and exact replicas but the ride and handling and storage behind the seats make up for it. I have some photos posted under the "Photos" tab above, I'm scottnp and the photos are 22 lines down and the second box in from the left, input date is 2/11/04. This is a Perry that I built completly by myself except for the painting. Here is Perry's website "www.perrydsinc.com".
The Perry is much further away from the proper shape and proportions. If authenticity is what you're after, money and parts can solve that. Just remember, it's only a replica. If the driving experience is what you crave, one of the "big three" would be closer to original. I think only TR is offering kits, if the build process is your thing. Good luck, and welcome.
