1915 dual idf 40s high ratio lifter. Just started a loud backfire. On deceleration’.  Exhaust valve leak at the flange? Does pop from the carb as well. I will be in SLO if anyone would lie to take take stab at  it let me know. I have road tools with me. And Cold beer will be on hand. Anthony did an LOF service and adjusted the valves. The car i otherwise running perfect which make think the bolt on exhaust flange my have become loose.,

If members can't get you running again, you've got the ultimate mobile mechanic in your neighborhood. Jim Fowler is the one of the best aircooled mechanics, very fair and minutes away in Pacific Grove. If he's available, he will bring his classic mobile VW bus shop to you.
