Just found this sitting in a Barn. Had to have it. 69 chassis. It was built in 84 85 area. Last time it ran was 6 to 8 yrs ago. i am going completely through it.

Those are the ones I would scoff up and redo....good find if. the chassis is solid and the price was right.

I bet that is just dirt/dust/grime on the original gel coat. If no cracks or spyder webbing then it will wet sand and buff back to a good driver finish. One nice thing with CMC gel coat is its resiliant.

The dog does one thing, he does it very well, and then he moves on.
I was going to comment on the 20 year old bias ply white walls - but thought that was thread drift! Never thought about the dog or Airstream trailer. Good find - looks like everything is there. The build manuals are in the Reference Library for donating members. They are very helpful.
Yeah, that airstream is a classic, too - looks like a late 50's early 60's. There's a small restoration company in Beaufort, SC, that restores those and they turn out Beautiful work.
Clay bar the gelcoat first, then buff.

Thanks for the comment about the trailer. But it is not an Air Stream. It is a 21 ft 1965 Avion. They were built to compete with the Air Stream. They came satin Aluminum not polished.

You haven't been wasting time on Christmas Pudding! You've done some serious wrenching!
Cutting out this moon shaped piece to allow air to get to the engine fan is covered in the CMC build manual - while you have access to it.

How'd the gelcoat clean up?
Looks like a legimate shop. We keeping this one or will it be a light refurb and then pass it on down the line?
Appears to be a 1600, dual kadrons and a standard fuel pump. If it doesnt already have one, look into a fuel pressure regulator. Kadrons have a sensitive needle and seat. I think Al or Gordon will know the sweet spot. 1.5psi comes to mind.
The generator is kind of a throwback for me! Oh man... that carpet looks like it weighs 50lbs.

Looks like it lacks the shrouding that goes from the body to the engine tin, just like my Speedster. Check the build manual for locations of the 2 pieces that will seal the engine compartment and keep exhaust heat from getting sucked back into the fan

Not a legitimate. Just a 70 yr old guy love working on old cars and who got a heck of a deal on a lift a few months ago. Thanks for the heads up on the fuel pressure it does have a fuel pressure regulator. Not sure what I will do with it when I am done
I lust after your lift almost as much as I lust after your find. Brings to mind Doc Turner's acquisition of his 904 back in the 70's from the widow of a deceased friend (as I remember it) up in Ohio; I think it was stored in a barn for a period of time before the wife decided to part with it. Happy New Year and keep us posted.

I dug the fuel pressure regulator out and it is set at 3 psi. Thanks guys

Nope - but you could try Evercoat boat gel coat repair kit. White should be easiest to match. Way back (1989) after my black gel coat body was delivered, I asked CMC for touch up. They sent a pint can of premixed black gel coat -- with the activator already mixed in. Within a month it was completely hardened in the can.

I have a complete set of hex bar linkage and air cleaners if they are webers. PM me if you are interested.

Short answer is no. Most gelcoat formulations have changed since it was built.
Best bet is to try any white gelcoat to see. If you need a small repair.
