I am the second owner of a 2010 Beck. First owner couldn't offer much info so I contacted Auto Haus. They assembled the car. I have several basic questions to the build sheet that they provided. First being the 1600 built by C&B Performance with "duel Weber ICT kit-Dual port T-1 & 2 to 71". I understand the T1 but what size are the Webers and what does 2-71 mean? Second is could someone explain what "VW 113 swing axle stock with 3.88 R&P, short axles and tubes" mean? Is this the freeway flyer that I have read about? This could have gone in the newby section. Bear with me.

T-1 & 2, I assume just means for bug or bus to 1971.

The Weber 34 ICT carb has a 34mm butterfly and 29mm venturi. Cheap carb but sized ok for a 1600.

The 113 designation is confusing since that normally references a Super Beetle which had IRS not swing axle. But it could also reference a 1968-70 002 bus IRS trans, again not swing axle. A short axle swing axle would be 1966 or earlier and would have a stock 4.37 or 4.12 ring & pinion (forget which). If your swing axle does have a 3.88 R&P but stock 1-4 gears then, yes it could be considered a freeway flyer, but instead of just 4th gear being taller, all your gears will be taller.

If your rear suspension looks like the left side of this pic, it's swing axle. If it looks like the right, IRS.
