I have a healthy 2276 engine with dual 44 weber carbs and FK8 cam with large valve heads. Not sure the size. Currently running a Monza style exhaust with J pipes. The engine runs very strong with no issue. I want to get rid of the Monza system and go with something with a center exit if possible. Is the system  Aircooled.net offers for Speedster kit cars with 1.5" tubes any good? http://vwparts.aircooled.net/category-s/1052.htm   Which are considered the best? I want good performance good sound not too loud and something that looks better than the Monza . Thanks in advance.

An A1 Sidewinder gives the best fit and performance. James Beahm's header size chart (from Hot VW's 2012?) shows 1 1/2" tubing will only let the engine rev to 54-5500rpm while your engine (with the FK8 cam) will be a perfect fit with 1 5/8" tubing. They do a Speedster specific exhaust (I believe tucked up a little higher than the Beetle unit) which can also be ordered through Aircooled.net
