I bought a haartz fabric top and full tonneau to replace the vinyl CMC pieces from the old VS in Hawaiian Gardens --- now VMC.  Prices have gone up a bit.  You can install yourself using instructions available here.  Do you have the steel top bows, tensioning pieces and the header bow? Snaps are not included - use regular one or more costly Tenax ones.  Installing ones by windshield requires its removal or gymnastics to drill holes from below.

Cages? Headlight buckets are from a pre '67 VW bug.  CIP1 or other VW place has them $35 or so each.

VMC luggage rack will NOT fit with the CMC cast alloy engine grill.  Same for the vintagespeedsterparts.com one.  Leitz repros in Stainless steel are about $400.  I have old AMMCO one and there is a painted Reuter one out there.

NO fit - due to diameter of legs --- $290.

For the top and tonneau, if you decide to go with Tenax fasteners instead of snaps, I found that English ones were cheaper than German ones at the time I bought mine.

Maybe this is what you mean by headlight cages.  This is one source for one style:

There are other sources and other styles, perhaps even eBay.

Just remember that the English Tenax snaps are different than the German ones so you can't mix them.

Wolfgang you have a rack for sale? Will the AMMCO fit the CMC? Picture?

Amco luggage rack 3Mine is still on car - but here's one on eBay. Mine appears to be a little different.  Extra holes are to accommodate a twin grill engine lid.  For price I'd rather have the larger stainless steel new Leitz repro.
