unfortunately i have to park my car outside....so leaving it uncovered NOT an option....and you get what you pay for in nearly anything....CARCOVER.COM has everything from indoor light duty to thick padded heavy duty covers at very reasonable cost...and you cant beat their customer service and warranty....i highly endorse their product

I have a thin cotton cover on mine in the garage, Ray, and it does let some dust through. I find a thin plastic sheet on top of the cover keeps the dirt/dust off the paint. I know there are covers that are impervious to dust; it's just a matter of buying the right one. Al

As you likely know, I would just be concerned with any condensation that the plastic cover would keep against the paint when things warm up

It's not really an issue, as it fits rather loosely over the top, there's lots of airflow around the edges and doesn't seal anything in.
