Car Cover for Wide Body VS

HI All,

So I am waiting on my new wide body speedster to be completed. I have vintage speedsters building it. Added the 2180cc Engine! Can't wait! Should be here right before the july 4th weeekend.


I want to get the cover before the car shows up. I have found car covers for the non wide body. FOr those with wide body's, where did you get the cover from? I have been looking at http://calcarcover.com. Do i need to wait and measure everything once i get the car?

You might want to check with Kirk at VS first. He's been through the process of car covers countless times, and will steer you straight.

Nick:I got my California Car Cover for the V/S widebody in October I believe. Tell them to look up Leon Borden in Arcadia CA. for the dimensions and material. You can decide what material is best for you but I'm very happy with mine.

This is what I ordered. VS wide body, 2185 engine, 3.88 trans, 4 wheel disk brakes, heater, coco mats, kill switch, leather, upgraded seats, oil cooler, sump cooler, rear sway bar, Passenger mirror, Spare tire, Side windows, Tonneau Cover, Hankook tires.

Going with Porsche Lapis Metallic blue paint, tan leather and tan top.

Also doing a custom stereo, pioneer head unit w/ sirus radio, alpine amp 4x75watts + 1x300watt, 5 1/4 speakers in the door, 6 1/2 speakers, 10 inch sub. Also adding an alarm too.

I'm not sleeping waiting for it! I've cleaned the garage a couple of times this week in preparation.


Gerd, Once I get it and break it in you will have to come down on friday night for Bob's big boy cruises, always good crowd!

ALWAYS WAIT AN HOUR PRIOR TO COVERING THE CAR, LEST IT WILL MELT IN THE REAR WHEN IT TOUCHES THE EXHAUST SYSTEM. TRUST ME ON THIS.
ALSO CAL COVER WILL REPAIR OR REPLACE FREE IF U KEEP YOUR RECEIPT
