Been there, done that, as they say.

Lowes does sell carpet but you will still need to bind it, or have that done.

I have tried other "brands" of Speedster carpet and by far, the best, to me, is what Kirk at Vintage sells. Easy to work with and a really nice appearance as well. Looks so much like wool while being water resistant--if you haven't taken care of your leaks yet. It's a thicker carpet than others I've tried. To me the challenge was getting that large piece --call it the "back wall" of the car--to lay correctly as that is a compound curve and unless you are really good, which I'm not, you will not have fun getting that piece right.
Vintages carpet piece for that place flops right into place perfectly.

When I stripped my interior to paint truck bed liner on the pan and install Dynamat I replaced the carpet with a set from KIrk.

Do like I did and call Alan Merkin for a walk through of the installation and use the adhesive Gordon reccomends, the 3-M spray in the green can.

Good luck!
