I am interested in upgrading the bumbers on my 2002 VS. I have seen some people (orig and replica) with the stock bumbers and a chrome hoop over the front and a double hoop over the rear bumber. Does anyone have this, and if so how much drilling, cutting and modifying is necessary? Also where can I buy this, otherwise I will fabricate one.

P.S. I am not positive that is the look for my car yet, if anyone has any other cool bumber upgrades let me know.

Vintage also has different bumper options. At the Spyder Meet last Saturday, there was a very nice man with an original Speedster in very good condition. He had the original, non dented bumpers where the exhaust pipes holes are integrated into the bumper cross pieces. So pretty!!! I have yet to see these on a replica.

Most European Speedsters used the "Euro style" bumper guards without the upper chrome bars. It's a much cleaner look. Also, remember that the bumpers are fibreglass so in any crash impact or idiot using the park-by-sound method the cross-bars will be useless anyway. The exhaust-through-bumper-guards doesn't work very well as the bumper guards get sooty and may discolor due to heat; they can also be a source of rattles.
