Have any of you other Lugnuts out there seen or bought these wheels? I'm gonna to buy a set of 10-slot's like these (replacing my original VS 8-slots) but I'm a little taken aback by the quoted price of only $75.50 each. I'm old enough to have had the warning pounded into my skull: "If it sounds too good to be true.....it probably is!"  Am I being overly skeptical? Is anyone acquainted with these wheels, and if so, wadda you think about them?

VSP.com has been round for some time... that price seems about right for the Chinese chrome steel wheels.

you can also find them at Cip1... same price, no tax, great customer service and free shipping, but Chinese as well.  Check the offset, they offer several, I just copied one of the available ones for reference.

if you don’t mind spending a little more, The Vintage Speed 190s ( don’t mistake them for Vintage Speedster Parts.com... different company)  Aluminum wheels rock!  Well worth the $$, incredible customer service and support.

I also have a set of 4 of the CIp1 steel chrome wheels above... the 10 slot 5 x 51/2 which I had installed on my 2013 built VS.   If you want them, and are willing to pay for shipping ( which can be expensive because of the weight) they are yours Free of Charge. I’m in Seattle, 98144 zip code if you want to explore shipping options.

-  used only approximately 600 miles before I purchased the Vintage Speed Aliminum ones.

- I’m just cleaning out my garage  and have both a set of the 10 slot and a set of the 8 slots in chrome.... I was going to donate the 8 wheels to my local VW shop in exchange for some Oil... but if anyone wants/needs them they are yours.  PM me if interested.

i just blew out my knee... so I’m taking on all the “honey do” projects I have been ignoring all summer.  With the blown knee I’m actually getting lots of help to complete these task... genius, I should have blown my knee out sooner!!!  Though I fear my  ski season is now at risk. Will see what the Ortho surgeon says tomorrow.

Cheers,

Luis

The steel wheels that you are looking at with tires mounted are close to 28lbs each. The 10 slot rims from Greg Leach are under 20lbs with tires mounted. The aluminum rims, from Greg, by themselves are only 12lbs each. I'm not sure the quality of the chrome on the steel wheels you're looking at will last but I haven't seen them in person yet. I'm just going off the fact that they're from China.
