Mounting the breather box behind the shroud like that has been around for a while I've been doing it this way on my friend's car's and on my car's for about 20 year's If you look at marty's motor the bracket holding the oil filter . I had that mount made for his motor so it keep's all the oil line's on the motor so his install would be easier . Also the mount was made to clear the heater box's . ROLAND
Brad Penn is good oil but in my opinion, Swepco is better but,,, both are much better than the standard over the counter oil.

Run the engine HARD varying your RPM's as much as possible for at least 500 miles then drain the oil, add a new filter if you have one and refill.

Read this. The author states that the dialogue indicates "motorcycle" but it also applies to automobile engines

Roland--what a gorgeous engine you built for Marty--I know he will really enjoy it. He shared some on the "innards" with me---very good stuff indeed!

I hope you can answer a question for me---have you ever dynoed, or do you kniow---what is the HP on the standard Vintage 1915 engine with the twin carbs? Thanks---Jack
