"So, I propose that everyone just pick the design you like, go to the 'Sticky Life' (no comments, please) web site, and order up what you want - in any size you want (there's an option for 'custom size'). I'd suggest the 'static cling' option.

Ordering one sticker at a time from Sticky Life (no comments, please) costs about $7 for the sticker and $6 for shipping - still not a whole lot when you consider the endless hours of fun this sticker will bring into your life."

I just did this and it was pretty brainless.  There would be a volume discount, but after paying shipping to one location and then shipping to the destinations, I'm not sure if it would really be a savings.  I just downloaded the photo and ordered the size I wanted (3" Face Cling, Round, White Background).  Easy Peasy.

There ya go, folks - another satisfied customer.

You get just the design you want, just the size you want - and you cut out the middleman (me).

Presumably, if I ordered some in a batch, there would be a slight savings for the quantity order (maybe $3 less, each) and they would all ship to me in the same package, so that shipping cost pretty much goes away, too. But I'd then have to repackage them and ship them out to you, individually.

So Tom's right, the cost would probably be a wash.

And if you order your own direct from the supplier, you can pay with a credit card and there's no chance of me slipping in some bogus 'administrative' charges like your internet supplier does.

I'm just looking out for your welfare here.

I'll wait another day or so before ordering anything, and before I order, I'll summarize here what I'm ordering and for whom.

In the meantime, you may want to check out the Sticky Life (no comments, please) web site.

Here's the link.

Sitting at LaGuardia in NYC, waiting to board our 3-1/2-hour-delayed flight back to Boston (try to avoid flying American, if you can).  Thought we would be home by now, but shooting for 11pm to the house.

Tomorrow is unpack and laundry day so we can get the sand out of everything.

After that, I'll try to hit another Michaels and get their printable static cling vinyl and give it a try (last Michaels didn't have any clear in stock).

If that doesn't work, I'll try the link.   I can download all of the images on here and try a few of them (for different occasions and different people to offend) and the resolution should be great for a 3"-ish sticker

Nicely tanned/burned, lots of great memories, now we just want to get a home-cooked meal.   Sigh........  A "Shake Shack" chicken sandwich will have to do for now (it's actually pretty good!)

See all y'all soon!

Cozumel is in the top 5 in the world for recreational scuba diving. Across over in Playa Del Carmen, they have some of the best cave diving as well. In the Cenote's. You can go snorkeling in some of them and thats spectacular too. There are Cenote's all down thru that area. Especially down in Akumel.  My Wife made me quit Cave diving because the incidence of error is usually fatal.....Duh.....How come I couldn't figure that out ??....Bruce

I've snorkeled on Cuzumel. It was pretty fantastic, but I took my wife and all three kids there for an entire week. Seven nights. Eight days.

Eight.

After about 2 days we were all wanting something to do besides snorkel. We had a rental car. We drove all over the island. We went to the lighthouse. We went to where the cruise ships come in. It took about 2 hrs.

Then we went snorkeling again.... and there was still 5 more days.

To snorkel.

I hear ya, Stan, and can feel your pain.

Seven whole days stuck on some crappy, white, sandy beach in a tropical paradise with nothing to do all day but snorkel, snorkel, snorkel.

Well, what better way to put some fun back in your snorkeling than this bright, colorful static-cling sticker for your dive mask?

Show your fellow divers that you don't give a snipe about their fancy shmancy authentic European diving gear. You're as happy as a clam with your plastic, Costco face mask and nine-dollar dive fins.

And say, what better way to bring this thread back to its original purpose?

I'm tallying up the numbers and will be placing an order bright and early in the AM for some of those bright, colorful stickers.

So far, ALL orders seem to be for the one with the clown face on it - as pictured on the dive mask. Make sure that's the one you want, because that's what I'm ordering.

Will post here shortly a list of the folks who I think have placed an order.

Watch this space.

OK, here's what I think is the current order list for CLOWN stickers:

@Panhandle Bob   1

@Jack Crosby 1

@aircooled  2

@Alan Merklin 1

@Stan Galat 2

@Terry Nuckels 406

Price will be $4 per sticker, plus a max of $5 shipping per order. I think I can get these in a standard business envelope and send them first class mail. If so, shipping will be a lot less than $5.

Payment will be on the honor system. Remember that? I send you the sticker. When you get it, you send me a check or pay with PayPal.

I'm not a PayPal kind of guy. I have an account and used it once - five years ago - to buy something from a guy in Germany. I've never used it to receive money, so I'm looking up how to do that and will send you the account info or link or secret handshake or whatever in the envelope with the sticker.

Once this transaction is done, I'll be ordering one of Carlos' designs (no clown) for myself and will post here with more details if you want to go in with me on a quantity purchase.

I feel your pain, Stan.  For a couple of years, we took my son, his wife, and our two grand kids down south for a week in the Winter.  Stayed at typical resorts, etc.

My son, his wife, and our two grand kids had a great time.  I got bored after two days.  My wife loved it simply because we were with our grand kids.  But both of us prefer vacations where you actually do, explore, learn, etc.

Added to that is that we both feel guilty with the degree of  poverty in most 'vacation countries', and here we are enjoying something that the majority of the residents could never afford.

Mitch:  I would be interested in that sticker.  There is a 356 club up here that I run with, and the members don't have much use for the PCA, so I'd use it when with them.

I think they would find the humour in that.

I have a friend who felt that way, so he started bringing suitcases of stuff to a poverty agency there and started giving to the countries poor.  Believe it or not they not do it yearly and have found much joy in giving to the poor there.  You can't fix everybody and some even if you give them a leg up will be back in the poor house so they will still need help tomorrow.  The other issues they have keeps them poor.  BTW this friend is not a religious guy. just saying

OK, here's the final order list. Please send me an IM with your mailing address. Order goes in today. I should have them in about 10 days and will then snail mail them to you.

So, you should have them by Christmas, fer sure.
