Noel. there will be no grill badges (at least, not from me), but if you want a Rolex, I'm taking deposits.

Al, glad to see the shipment made it through the snows of the northern tundra. Please remember we no longer accept payment in eagle feathers or buffalo hides.

Tom, you're down for four. Please send me an IM with your mailing address.

What do you mean no buffalo hides? How about salmon?  Oolichans? Herring roe? I know- I'm sure I can round up some nice (somewhat) fresh seal blubber...

Carlos, love this.

My sketch started as a spoof for Stan, but I think I like your design better for something I'd want on my car. The 'clown car' joke is something we know around here, but I don't know how much it connects with car dudes in general.

I think something that's as simple as possible but that mimics the PCA badge is mo better.

Along those lines, I think I like your last design, but with colors that are closer to the PCA badge - something like this, maybe:

Oh yeah, I'd take a couple if they're also "static-cling" I could, perhaps, carefully swap one in for the clown or V-V.

It is truly disgusting that John is getting a bunch of snow just North or Portland, Maine, while New York City is basking in 78F temps.

Stan, we were on the Disney Magic cruise ship about a month ago and as I was leaning on a display case looking at "Mickey Watches", a young, French cast member came over to offer help and we BOTH discovered that the "Mickey" watches they carry on the ship no longer have moving Mickey hands.

I know......WTF?

They have an image of Mickey Mouse on the face, but the watch has regular hands.  Suddenly, my 30-year-old, still-running Seiko Classic Mickey Mouse Watch with moving Micky Hands became more than just a "classic".  It is a reminder of good times gone by.  Of the Mickey Mouse Club on my grandma's TV after school.  Of "Moosekateer Roy".  Of "Spin and Marty".  And yes, even that evil-tasting "Ovaltine" from that other show.   Times were easier back then, with no "Facebook" to get on, just to be condemned or insulted by people I don't even know (and who don't know me).......

I'm thinking that Ed needs one of those limited edition 'Stan Galat' Rolexes to go with his TR Spyder.

I am on record elsewhere as con Big Chunky Watches of all kinds. Unlike Stan, I am proportioned less silverback gorilla and more Rhesus monkey. Just as I prefer the light weight, low recoil and aimability of the Walther PPK to any of your big dick Desert Eagle offerings, my taste in watches runs to medium sized pocket watches from 75 years ago and smallish wristworks like the Waltham A-11, Weiss Auto, Orient Star Classic, Laco 21 pilot's watch and the Max Bill.

That said, I remain Down With The Clown, and would totally rock the fake Rolex with the clown logo.

@Stan Galat the hands are his tie!! Come ON!

Mitch, I am writing to complain about this clown sticker nonsense. Even though I haven't received my order yet, I find that I am drawn to follow and chuckle at every comment.

This is creating a major impediment to me actually having a finished car on to which, the sticker to put. Please attempt to conduct a more serious decorum on your thread or I will be forced to do more sanding than I expected. Yours sincerely,

Mike

Mike, I see what you're doing here and I'm on to you.

You live on Maui and you're trying to blame this sticker thread for why you're not spending more time sanding and doing paint prep.

I feel your pain and, in the spirit of true SOC camaraderie, I'm willing to help.

I'll happily waive the $1 delivery charge on your sticker and hand deliver it myself. I'll even install it anywhere on your windshield you like so that you don't lose another minute of precious sanding time.

Proper fitting does require that sticker adhesion be checked daily for the first week after installation, though. so Just put me up at any beachfront hotel in your neighborhood, and I'll handle the entire installation process.

Always glad to help an SOC brother in need.

You would prob'ly be less grumpy if all of your mail didn't have to get delivered by King Crabs or mail-pouched Albatrosses or something.

Everything takes longer to get "to the islands"....  (Even if it's "Block Island")

We prefer Humpback Express, but of season we have to use spinner dolphins. Everything gets all mixed up in transit and it's awful. Some days I don't know how we survive. If I just had a sticker, I think I could hold it together...

Aw, you are too kind. I could never abuse an SOC brother by putting them through that kind of treatment. But thanks for offering. I'd try to double down on the sanding. For some reason, it isn't my favorite part.

Attention, SOC shoppers -

I've received the second batch of clown stickers and am stuffing the envelopes tonight. They should go out in the mail tomorrow. If you're expecting to receive some and don't have them in a few days, send me a PM.

Unless you live near Stan - then, give them a few more weeks to reach you.

And while I received orders from @Gotno356 and @Scott R. Merritt Island Fl , I still haven't received a PM from youse guys with your mailing address. You may have sent one, but I can't find it, so please try again.

That is all.

Sorry Alan, but there is a downside to being an early adopter.

Some users of the first edition sticker reported rounded cam lobes on the 1-3 intake cam. This often caused the mixture adjustment screws to become unresponsive on those cylinders.

The fix for this issue and some routine security patches have been rolled into the 2.0 release.

At least you got to be the first on your block with that distinctive sticker and who can put a value on that?

Ok, I’ll play the Hero. Anyone who is not interested in going through some major engine setbacks should pry those goofy little stickers off their cars and send them to me post haste. I will go through the ritual of burning them and sending the waste evidence to the Prime Minister of the PCA. Paying for the postage will start your good karma moving in the right direction. My address can be found in my Bio.
