@WOLFGANG , it's possible that's just an artist's drawing of the old CMC building.

But you could build your very own 150,000 square foot showroom and factory from a CMC kit.

Following the well-illustrated, step-by-step instruction manual, you could have your factory up and running in, typically, just 40 hours, with average mechanical ability and ordinary tools.  Help from family and friends can help cut down on assembly time. Isn't it time for your dream to start shaping into reality?

No, no, no. Greg wants to be laying on his death bed, and not having ever turned a wheel under it's own power. Isn't that the proper path of all garage-built CMC?

Actually, I think Greg enjoys his MX5 so much that he doesn't feel the need to finish the Speedster. It's a nice car.

Exactly, YOU and many others have finished theirs. The majority though get sold unbuilt/unfinished, then someone actually COMPLETES the car.

I had an early 911 basket-case for about 5 years. I came to the conclusion that I'd never finish it, and sold it someone else who would, and did.

I guess that's Greg's path. And maybe Al B's too. Unfortunate for both the cars and the people, I like them both.

I like them both too.  I think one factor for Greg now is that he lives some distance from where the Speedster is. Of course, that wasn't a factor before he moved to Florida.  I have no idea what is impeding Al's progress.

Same thing happened with my 69 912. After I bought the SC. I kind of lost my direction. What I wouldn’t give to have that $5K engine rebuild (1990 dollars) in my Spyder.

I have two versions of same from CMC --- not Fiberfab.  Inside is also the color guide.  The second one is stamped 1989.

In one of the price lists the hard tonneau is listed for $550 in your choice of gel-coat colors.

I bought mine new in November 1988.  I also have the original computer print out of parts shipped with some saying backordered.  The sheets match the COO and the gold id sticker.  Someone said that number was the sales slip invoice # which seems to be true.
