One thing I noticed...having just replaced mine....is that the new castings are a little off from the old ones.  I had to split each hinge by removing the pin and using one half from the new one and one half from the old ones and pinning those together.  The mounting holes are off.

I did buy new hinges. The holes on the new hinge are not in the same spot as the old hinge and it wind up pushing the door out at the bottom and back.

I did try what you suggested but it didn’t work.

Cool.  Yeah, kind of frustrating that the holes dont line up.  I imagine that the castings changed slightly over the years.  My Speedy was originally built in the early 2000's and 2 of the 3 holes were off by about 1/8".  Not happy when I first got them and spent half the day loosening rusted door bolts to remove the door and hinges, only to find that the new hinges didnt fit.  Grrr.
