ASKING $17500 BUT WILL ENTERTAIN ALL REASONABLE OFFERS!
As some of you may note from the "Newbies" forum under "Widebody" I am looking to sell my car. I listed it on some sites (classiccars.com for one) and I repeat here what I said in the "Widebody" forum.
I don't really want to sell it, but as you may imagine, like probably many on this site, I have too many cars and this one has for a variety of reasons only been driven a couple times by me (but my two mechanics who have helped fine tune it for me have driven it and rave about it!) I live in NYC and NJ and the car is on Long Island with a couple of others.
Now for a little background, I really did not know much about these cars when I bought it. As you may have figured out but I had to find out, the car is a CMC wide body. My mechanic heard of it sitting in a garage and told me about it. After some discussion, etc., I purchased it about 4 or 5 years ago from the divorcee whose ex-husband left it in the garage. When I bought it, it had not been touched in about 8 years and had 9 km on the odometer. Yes, just 9. It now has 100km. I am not sure of the size of the motor but I am told it is on the higher end of hp range. It has been really fine tuned by my new mechanic with little details being take care of here and there but it still needs a couple touches (mirrors, side curtains). Bottom line, it is a great car for someone who will use it. I have two ('64 & '65, selling this one now on completion of restoration) Lincoln convertibles, just sold my '91 Carrera, sold two other '60s Lincolns, just bought a '89 MB 560SL, and I drive a '06 Navigator. Just too much.
Anyone interested should let me know as I am not trying to get every dollar out of the car, just want a fair price and someone to enjoy it!
