Up or sale is my project porsche 356a coupe kit. All the hardwork has already been done, Body is mounted on the frame and installed, racing roll bar installed, 4-wheel disc brakes installed, doors, latches and etc all installed. Transmission installed and axels as well. Front beam installed. Shocks installed. I have an engine block 1915cc done ready to finish building. Have nardi steering wheel and tons of parts as well. Red uplostery also inculuded. My goal was to make a vintage coupe race style car with decals on the outside but I have way to many project cars and just dont have the time. I have clean title and registered has a 1973 volkswagen. I have over $24,000 into it with labor and parts. Call me anytime 305-542-5662. Will need paint and finish building it. Come see it anytime sold as-is. Buyer responsible for shipping or pick up. Thanks for looking"

I thought I recognized this car.  Looks like nothing has been done since it was sold, except collect dust and raise the price.

Sentences like the one highlighted are why cruising the interweb looking at cars I'll never buy is a pastime I'll probably never outgrow.

What would make it a 356 as a "vintage coupe race style car" but some "decals on the outside"? If only Carey and Lane had known it was that easy, they might have saved several years of R&D. I wonder if some "Ain't Skeert" mudflaps would suffice?

... and this guy was soooo close, too. If it hadn't been for the global supply-chain issues, he'd have been able to get those decals, and thus finish his vintage coupe race style car. Alas, he was thwarted by forces beyond his control.

It's a good thing he's got all those other projects to finish. Hopefully, he already has the decals (for the outside) in hand.

When a listing has the old "I have 50k invested, but only asking 10k".

It makes me immediately think, "If they made bad decisions with their money, what other bad decisions were made in the maintenance or build of this car?". It ends up not being a selling point, but a flag to investigate further.
