Since I got my SE/Beck 550 last year my buddy and fellow SOC'er Syl Mathis suggested I do something about the black plastic E brake handle (it just didn't do the car justice. Today with Syl doing all the work within his shop I now have a cool E brake handle. I took a bunch of pic's incase others wanted to do the same. I was inspired by recent pic's of drilled E brake handles here on the SOC and elsewhere.

This was not as easy as it may seem aligning all and drilling. Thankfully Syl has the skill and tools. Also the black paint on the E brake handle was a real bear to remove. Only the portion that will be seen was sand blasted.

Thanks again to Syl for spending the entire day on this project.

Thanks guys. I wasn't looking to go light weight, I just wanted a cooler looking e brake handle and I didn't want an aluminum one. What I'll do now is get an ivory colored push button to match the steering wheel and shift knob color. It looks a little grayish due to the sand blast look I wanted.  I really like it and think it's so much better than the black plastic handle end.

Bill, the details are in the first set of pic's I posted. No need to buy it if you have a std. SE/Beck or VW ebrake handle. You just take it out and do what my friend Syl and I did. Drilled various size holes for the look I wanted.

Thanks Lane for the color suggestion Syl also fixed my shift knob with a wood dowel when the cheap plastic broke even though you really can't see it it's there and I should paint it to match.
