The details on my new car.

I did not get to go completely thru the build process with Henry on my new car and that for me was a good thing. I have so much trouble making the required decisions about the many options, the colors, tires, steering wheel, and etcetera. The only thing I have no problem with is the wheels; for me, FUCHS, no doubt. For others, going thru the build process is heaven on earth, you get to make all the decisions, all the choices, and you get to know Henry. That is a big plus but since I already know Henry very well, that was not a
David,
I went to DMV in early June with my paperwork and sat in line for about an hour. I did a little training for the DMV counter person and now she is qualified to handle SB100. ;-) There were still numbers left for this year. The site manager told me that at the end of March there were nearly 100 numbers for SB100 remaining.

So after the CHP VIN inspection and the BAR test (which SB100 cars don't have to pass) the car will be legal in CA and smog exempt.

IF ANYONE NEEDS A SB100 NUMBER FOR A CA CAR, GET THE PAPERWORK AND GIVE IT A GO! THIS IS AN AMNESTY YEAR AND IF YOU REGISTERED YOUR CAR ILEGALY YOU WILL NOT GET CHARGED WITH ANY LEGAL VIOLATIONS. YOU WILL STILL NEED TO PAY SOME LATE FEES.

Alan, Thank you.

Jim, Thank you too. See you at Pismo next year!
I can attest to the excellence of Dale's car. Being the second generation of 1.8t IMs it sports a drive by wire 180HP engine as opposed to the 150HP drive by cable that my IM has. As a result, Dale's car has an extremely smooth throttle response where mine has some abrupt power ups when my additional boost controller takes over from the ECU. The intercooler has been moved to a better location which allows about 2X the IC area. The intake and turbo piping has been really simplified by this combination of DBW and IC as well. On the IM tour we followed Dale and his car really scoots. THe paint and interior really work well together. I want his steering wheel if he is parting with it!

Tomm,

Michele was not, is not and will never be a fan of that steering wheel. She sees it a too "racy" for the car. It is a Personal Fittipaldi, 350mm, black leather with black stitching. The bolt pattern is the same as Nardi. If you have a MOMO pattern you will need an adaptor. Horn button NOT included.
