Near the start of my Speedster build, in the dim misty past, this aluminum adapter was made by a friend who later flew his plane into the side of a mountain.

The CMC and maybe others has a bracket designed for later steering columns with the key in the column.

This adapter allows the installation of an early column and dash key.

The top has holes spaced for the original bracket and the bottom has holes spaced for the early VW U-Shaped thing.

I am offering the aluminum adapter and a genuine VW U-Shaped thing. I also have the rubber ring that goes around the column tube but it has been cut. It would probably still work with the cut at the top.

How about $15 plus $5 for shipping.

It does have some sentimental value but that has faded over the years.
