I'm looking to modify my exhaust system to provide better clearance/eliminate interference with my axle boots and also eliminate the "one-hung-low" character of the system. I've contacted Vintage Spyders and they don't want to sell just the header portion of their system (I want a straight through system). I've talked to a local metal fabricator for speciality cars and was quoted $1200 for an exhaust system.
If anyone out there has a lower cost solution, I would be interested.
Thanks for your time. Cheers!

Tom:

Instead of just buying the header from Vintage, why not buy the whole system from Vintage at $550?

I ran into similar quotes for custom exhaust systems. Seems they want you to pay for all their trial and error mistakes in fabricating. Am quite satisfied with the Vintage set up on my Beck. ;>)
