Most of you know that exhaust sytems that are too small in diameter are restrictive and can increase engine operating temperatues.

You should also be aware that systems with mufflers or primary tubes that fit close alongside the valve covers can increase cylinder head and engine operating temperatures. Radiant heat from the exhaust to the valve cover can transmit heat to the engine oil running down the inside of the valve cover and/or pooling in the rocker arm cavity.

Of course a system that requires removal or a contortionist to set the valve clearances is also a PITA.

Just something to think about when you shop exhaust systems.

Those 2 reasons are what finally made me decide to design my own and I allread spoke to Jake about dynoing it if time allows. i also want aluminum heat shields to help protect the engine from their fallout Jake said it's very nessecary to make sure the T 4 exchaust start out equal length and share a common collecter where they inter the muffler I am going with a T=1 design. three chambers ,6 baffles flowmaster design I hope it will be quiet enough ,or I will find myself capping on two more baffle s on each side.
