So, I opened up my door panel found out that the button is not sitting around inside it. it's actually fell out and it fell out because I don't have any of the other parts.where can I locate those parts?  we are talking about the rod that goes down, the button, the screws ago and the back of it this is on a cmc.  Thanks.

Someone here might have an old pitted one you could use for parts.  Here's part at VintageSpeedsterParts for $30 (but a flat $25 shipping fee). It doesn't include the rod though. Rod appears to be a bent piece of electrical conduit - so dupe one on the other side.  CMC build manual has some drawings and parts photo too.

I'm not sure if the Speedster mfg. still use this but one could inquire, it not available the rod is 3/8" tubing available at Lowe's ( $5) etc that has a metal rack.  If you don't have one to copy you can make up a template from coat hanger and bend the tube. Cutting in the slot and bending it open is simple too.
