For sale is a 2004 Intermeccanica 356A Roadster RS. This well-preserved car was built by Henry Reisner/Intermeccanica in Vancouver, BC Canada, and has only 14,098 miles. A year of research, planning, collecting, and restoring many original parts took place before the construction began. The production serial number is IM12406, and the build date was July 15, 2004. The highly desirable car is in excellent condition both inside and out, runs and drives exceptionally well, and has no driveability issues.

Porsche introduced the "Convertible D" in August of 1958 and continued production through 1959, building a total of 1,329 cars. The "D" stood for "Drauz", the Coach builder that built the bodies for Porsche. Although similar to its predecessor the "Speedster", the new version featured roll-up door windows, a taller windscreen, a taller canvas top with a larger rear window, more comfortable Cabriolet style seats, and more elaborate door trim. After less that two years, the "D" was gone, signaling the end of the "A" series cars, and the beginning of the new 356 Model "B", which was introduced in September of 1959 with an all new motor and a complete new look.

The Intermeccanica Roadster "D" is a custom-built high-quality reproduction of the 1959 356-A Convertible D, featuring in-house designed and built tubular steel perimeter chassis and a Canadian made one-piece composite body. The Roadster "D" is Intermeccanica's flagship model with its timeless style and its magnificent cabin featuring the unique one year only (1959) windscreen and fully developed convertible top. After less than two years the "D" was gone, signaling the end of the "A" series cars and the beginning of the new 356 Model "B", which was introduced in September of 1959 with an all-new motor and a complete new look.
