Once I begin assembling my new power-plant.  (By the way, CB Performance has been great to work with so far.)  I want to convert from the old generator/regulator to a higher output alternator that i have had sitting on a shelf of several years.  The info on line makes it look pretty simple.  Has anyone had any issues doing this? Are there any black holes that i could fall into?  Should I review my Arc Flash/Arc Blast safety training prior to this event? lol

Nope, just remove the generator and  the regulator and wires. , You will need a alt configuration mechanical ( or electric) fuel pump and  alt stand specifically for the alternator.  Single 10 gauge red wire from starter + to B+ stud on the alt. One blue wire from spade 61 terminal on alt. to the dash light +.... the - side of the bulb goes to + 12v on the starter switch. This is so that the bulb gets 12v and the ground from the stationary alt armature. When the alt. reached RPM the ground circuit is broken and the dash light goes out.
