The car belongs to Brooks Walton. He is actually an acquaintance of Richard Griot (yes, THAT, Richard Griot). Richard saw Brooks's IM and asked if they could shoot it for the catalog cover.
I believe the car has a 2110 engine...making "200 hp" heading downhill with a major tailwind. ;-) You know how those catalogs exaggerate. Still pretty cool, though, both for Brooks and for Intermeccanica.
I LOVE Griots Garage! Why? Ever since our son got my wife some of their cleaning stuff, she cleans her own car! I think she likes the smell of the stuff. Previously, I'd been cleaning her car for over 40 years, and I'm enjoying the break!

Just for the record, she has shone NO interest in cleaning my truck - go figure?
Brooks, have you seen the valve covers Larry Jowdy has made? They look very much like Cam Covers for Fuhrmann 547 motors. Your car is so hard to tell from a real Carrera unless you look underneath, you might want a set to make the guys that look at the valve covers scratch their heads. Check out some photos of the covers at Spyderclub.com under the classified section. They look pretty nice.
Tom, Henry has the info on the guy who does the macine turning. I don't have that wheel on my car anymore. I replaced it with a Derrington, which is larger in diameter. I recently had it machine turned also. Sorry no pictures. It cost about ninety bucks. I like the machine turning as fingerprints, smudges etc. don't show.

Will, I really like the look of those cam covers. I would be concerned about leaking around the seals. The stock covers don't look like much, but the don't leak either. If the Spyder guys have good luck with them I might give them a try.
