I have an old CMC kit that I put together many years ago. I'm not sure I ever knew how (and, of course, the manual is no help), but I can't seem to figure out how to adjust the headlights. They are in the Hella buckets and there is no readily apparent way to do. Can anyone help?
Thanks

I have the same problem, also a CMC kit. Built the kit a few years ago but the slots in the headlight rims didn't match where the slots on the headlight bulbs were located. Next problem was when I tried to adjust the adjusting screws on the outside of the headlight ring the bulb would not move/adjust. Solution to the first problem was to cut additional slots in the rings. Solution to the second problem was to grind out some of the fiberglass inside and behind the bulb because the bulb was against the fiberglass and did not have room to move. Final result was the lights still do not adjust correctly - the left lights the centerline and the right lights the trees on the side of the road - interesting when driving at night!
The problem that I have seen, is that most headlight buckets are made to be universal to the VW Beetle and VW Transporter. Thus they placed the adjusters diagonally across the bucket. I know I had to use spacers on the bottom attachment bolt to aim my lights. I now have a set of buckets on my 62 Beetle which have both adjusters on the bottom. These lights adjust so much easier for the low riders like my bug. If you could find the buckets with the adjusters on the bottom, it may solve your issue.
