Temp tag is on the car while I wait for my "real" plate. Drove to the gas station in the rain last night. Couldn't wait. The girl at the Amoco station asked me to marry her. Took it to work this morning. My drive started out in the country on hilly winding two lane country roads. 58 degrees outside, a little chilly but my insulated Hein Gerricke motorcycle jacket was made for this! Made my way down the two lanes onto the "Beltline", divided limited access road. Took the turn onto the Beltline and whipped by 5 cars in the turn. Wow can this thing accelerate out of turns! Hmmmm, didn't know traffic was that slow. Over the river and through the woods and into town I go. Now onto a busier 4 lane with lots of shopping and restaurants and stoplights. A guy in a Buick Grand National wants to stoplight drag. Wish I could dust him but I need to "behave" until I run in the engine. Peel onto the expressway for the last two miles. Great "S" turn on ramp. Swing in beside a Semi. HOLY CR_P is this thing tiny! I zoom under an overpass and the reverberating sound is sweet sweet music! Off teh next exit and get BIG stares from everyone around me. A truck follows me into the parking lot at work and demands to know "what the hell is that thing?"
I'm going to have waaaaaay too much fun with this car!
