Many years ago I owned a Morgan 4/4 with the classic British long hood secured with a leather hood strap. It was an incredibly good looking pain in the posterior. I had to loosen it to look under the hood, even if it were raining buckets. In cold weather it was very difficult to get it unbuckled. I finally removed the hood strap permanently.
IMHO hood strap(s): DON'T!

Scott, Spyder Sports carries original spec straps in black or tan. I believe I paid about $240 including shipping.
Anybody looking for hood straps should go to Fibersteele,they have them for $125.00 per set.
