Aloha,

I know this may be a little touchy, but it would be helpful to know how some of you paid for your Speedsters. Did you space it out over a long period of time, for those of you who built it as a kit on your own? Did you pull some sort of financial guru trick to come up with the funds? For those of you who purchase the more expensive Intermeccanicas, did you take out a new car loan? Will banks even give loans for "handbuilt" cars?

Just wondering...

I can't believe me and George did somethin' alike!
Saw it on eBay, lost it, got it, lost it. Got offered another in it's stead. Wrote a check, used an auto transporter to bring it to me. Voila'

Home's equity is a good thing to use if you have it and don't mind spending it. It's what I do for a living for all you California guys lookin' to refinance and buy a speedster with some of your change!

Or, don't get me started, add a Spyder to your collection of cars, and oh yeah, add-on a garage wing to celebrate your new aquisitions.

(also stands for MORTGAGE MAN)
bought it on ebay. put a few grand down as a deposit, and used "peoplefirst.com" to finance 15k. i fell in love right away, did my research and had to have the car. saving was not an option for me!

there are great interest rates from peoplefirst.com mine came from a person to person loan.

Same deal here as MM & GB. First a deposit & then the balance. Nice to have no debt when it's not getting any use... (LOL).
Not Spam but I've refinanced with MM twice & now I'm buying my first Ferrari to live next to the Speedster, as my wife & Baby are moving out... Seriously,I highly recommend MM's professional side. He's the GB of Mortgage Finance (plz read as compliment).~R
Aloha,

Thanks for all the replies. I think it is helpful for people thinking about buying a Speedster to know what options they can use to pay for the car. For me, I was under the impression that you would almost have to pay cash, use home equity or similar as I was sure banks would be apprehensive about giving a car loan for a "specialty car." Its good to know that it can be done.

Joel
