After reading the Dellorto book three times in order to wrap my head around figuring out the flat spot in my Moto Guzzi carbs, it finally dawned on me:

Carburetors Suck

Fuel Injection blows.

Given the four circuits, and all the variables that have to come together to make them work properly, altitude, barometric pressure, specific gravity of the fuel you’re using, fuel pressure, etc. it’s amazing they work at all.

Even if you knew the basics, the video is great.  What fascinates me is the brain power to have figured it out and all the many jets of some of the 'modern' carbs.  Very cool

I don’t know if it’s more amazing, or less, but an SU carburetor works without any of that complicated stuff. It’s all done with a diagram, a needle, and a seat. All the adjustments are done via piston cutout and needle length and taper.

MC Dells don’t even have a diaphragm.
